The AKGA Forum is a community designed for the exchange of information. All Members are welcomed and encouraged to share ideas, ask questions and debate the issues. The rules have been established in order to maintain a friendly and productive environment.
The AKGA Forum Rules
Rule 1. No Hacking - Hacking the board will not be permitted. Guessing someone's password and succeeding counts as hacking. Members who hack will instantly be permanently banned without warnings.
Rule 2. No Discrimination - The AKGA is a place where everyone is equal. Discriminating remarks based on gender, religion, race, or politics will NOT be tolerated.
Rule 3. Respect for Members - Everyone has the right to state their opinion of the issues, not the person/people. Difference of opinion on an issue should be expressed respectfully and maturely. Inappropriate posts include, but are not limited to: religion, governmental politics, threats, slander, harassment, name calling, derogatory remarks, inflammatory remarks, non-sustainable accusations, and etc.
Rule 4. Stay on Topic - Posts should relate to the original topic. A shift in topic requires a new thread.
Rule 5. No Profanity or Obscene Content - Such content does not belong on AKGA Forums. A censor system is in place. If you see words in your post being replaced with ****, you have used an inappropriate word. Please edit your post and repost. To edit a post, click the "Edit" button right below the post. Cheating the censor system by using "other" variations of inappropriate words is a violation of the rules.
Rule 6. Use of Forum - The forum is not intended to sell or buy animals or items. It is for the exchange of information only. Please list all items either wanted or for sale in the AKGA Classifieds on www.kikogoats.com. The announcement of legitimate public sales is allowed. These announcements should be placed in the public section of the forum under the Marketing category and contain specific location, date, time, and contact information. AKGA sanctioned event announcements may be placed in both the public and the AKGA members only sections.
Rule 7. Moderators - Moderators do not engage in dialogue. No member may contact a moderator directly concerning the forum. Any complaints or concerns regarding a moderator/moderators activity should be sent to the Board via email, telephone, USPS, etc.
The following sanctions will be in effect immediately. When the moderators feel a post is inappropriate or in violation of any stated rule of the forum, the poster will receive a warning via email, and by post on the forum. All subsequent violations of the rules or the posting of an inappropriate post will result in suspension of forum use for thirty (30) days. Any and all warnings and suspensions of forum use will be given only when a majority of the moderators feels a post is inappropriate or in violation of stated forum rules.
The poster will have the right to petition the BOD to intervene if he/she chooses to appeal any thirty (30) day suspension. The decision of the BOD in such appeals shall be final.
Moderator 1 shall act as liaison between the BOD and the set of moderators and speak for the moderators in such matters.
